Youth Action Team

We must empower students to find their voice and equip them with the tools to become informed, engaged citizens. This starts with civic education. Participation is our right; knowledge is our responsibility.

The Bartow Youth Action Team "YAT" members are students from Adairsville High, Cass High, Woodland High and Cartersville High. This group of leaders is focused on reaching other students in Bartow County and challenging them to make wise decisions when it comes to potentially "risky" behaviors. The YAT is always looking for new ways to make a difference in the lives of students throughout Bartow County. The team participates in various leadership building trainings, including the Georgia Teen Institute,, and the Healthy Schools Leadership Summit. For more information about the Youth Action Team, or to become a member, please contact either Scott Sherwin or Christa Layton.
